The Intensive Video Editing Program offers students a comprehensive foundation in the art, craft, and business of video editing. Designed for aspiring editors and filmmakers, the program blends technical training with creative development, ensuring participants gain the skills and confidence needed to work in professional post-production environments.

What Students Will Learn

Throughout the course, students are guided through essential concepts and industry practices, including:

• Fundamentals of video editing
• Adobe Premiere Pro workflow
• Editing techniques and story structure
• Video cameras, formats, and media management
• Editing action, dialogue, and performance
• Understanding and collaborating on a director’s cut

Training is structured around the creation of 3 to 5 short films (depending on the 4-week or 8-week enrollment option), each increasing in complexity. Weekly screenings are held with all students and facilitators present, providing valuable feedback, critique, and growth opportunities.

Training Structure

The program follows an intensive schedule that reflects the pace and workflow of real-world film production:

Weeks 1–3:

Students engage in a rigorous combination of classroom lectures and hands-on editing exercises from Monday to Wednesday.

Friday, Saturday, and Sunday are dedicated to shooting and editing assignments, giving students the opportunity to apply newly acquired skills immediately.

Week 4:

Focus shifts entirely to producing and editing the final project for the first four-week module. The week concludes with a professional-quality screening of the completed short film.

Intensive On-Set Training (Weeks 5–8)

The second module of the program offers a 100% practical, immersive on-set experience. Students take on the role of editor for two professional short film productions, gaining first-hand insight into industry-standard workflows, team collaboration, and high-level creative decision-making.

This real-world exposure ensures students graduate with practical editing experience, a deeper understanding of narrative construction, and a strong portfolio of work.
