The Intensive Cinematography program provides a comprehensive foundation in the art, craft, and business of cinematography. Students are introduced to core principles of camera settings, lens selection, interior and exterior lighting, shot design, camera movement, and production design. Throughout the program, students apply these skills by creating 3–5 short films—depending on the 4- or 8-week track—each growing in complexity and screened weekly for constructive feedback from facilitators and peers.
The first three weeks combine in-depth classroom lectures with structured hands-on practical sessions from Monday to Wednesday, while Friday through Sunday are dedicated shooting days. In the fourth week, students focus entirely on filming and editing their first major project, leading up to a final screening.
The second four weeks function as an Intensive On-Set Training module, offering a fully practical, immersive experience. Students step into real-world production environments and work as cinematographers on two professional short film projects, gaining industry-relevant skills, confidence, and on-set discipline essential for a career in film.
